Based on the EU Single-Use Plastics Deferential Regulation, Germany will implement the German Single-Use Plastics Tax (EWKFondsG). The first round of collection is planned for 2025. With the goal of environmental protection, EWK-FondsG aims to reduce waste plastics and promote plastic utilization. The purpose of the regulation is to hold producers of single-use plastic products accountable for the waste recycling and management of their products, cleaning up and educating consumers on environmental awareness.
