All sellers importing packaging into Austria must appoint an authorized representative in Austria to recycle the packaging. In other words: Any seller selling packaged products to Austrian final consumers must register for Austrian Packaging Law and appoint an authorized representative to carry out recycling. Currently, sellers do not need to pay authorized representative fees after registering, but the policy will make it mandatory from January 1, 2023!
